Merger & Acquisition IT Advisors – Consulting Manager / Consulting Director

We are currently looking for highly experienced individuals with strong Merger & Acquisition IT due diligence and post close IT integration and IT carve out leadership experience to join our team as either a Consulting Manager or Consulting Director, based on experience level. These roles require 7+ years of experience working on IT due diligence efforts, and / or managing IT carve out efforts or merger integration efforts. The individual must have at least 3+ years of prior M&A consulting experience in roles with increasing responsibilities and scope. This role requires strong verbal / written communications skills and strong analytical skills to be able to analyze complex situations, formulate appropriate strategies and recommendations, and communicate those recommendations to our Private Equity clients and their Portfolio Company Management teams. In addition, they should be able to develop and oversee project plans for a wide-ranging set of initiatives (e.g., infrastructure and applications) that are common across most IT carve out efforts. IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager

The IT Infrastructure Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and project managers that execute IT infrastructure projects. This role will work with the Answerport leadership team to assist with guiding the strategy and vision for the continued growth of the infrastructure practice. This role will be responsible for the ongoing development of the infrastructure delivery capabilities while serving as an escalation point for technical and project management issues to ensure the highest level of customer service throughout the infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Prior experience leading an IT infrastructure group that consists of multiple infrastructure engineers and project managers within the organization’s structure.
  • Prior experience defining infrastructure project approaches to achieve project objectives and then structuring and developing detailed project plans to achieve the desired project outcomes.
  • Prior experience doing hands-on technical work and managing technical teams, including a working knowledge of IT infrastructure and security technologies.
  • Prior experience establishing new processes and systems to support improved customer service and an improved customer experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as needed.

Infrastructure Architect

The Infrastructure Architect will collaborate with clients to define the scope for Infrastructure technology projects. They will coordinate with the project manager, infrastructure engineers, and managed services team to assist as needed on the execution of the project. They must have a broad technology background with demonstrated experience in architecting, designing, and implementing technology solutions, and a good depth of experience (beyond day-to-day administration) with Active Directory, VMWare, Networking, Email (Exchange & Office365), Servers (Windows, Linux), and Cloud hosted systems (Azure, AWS). Infrastructure Engineer (aka Systems Engineer)

The Infrastructure Engineer will execute project tasks as assigned for Merger & Acquisition carve out and modernization projects. They should have a broad technology background with increasingly complex roles, strong ability to troubleshoot, and be eager to learn. Must have a good depth of experience (beyond day-to-day administration) with AD, VMWare, Networking, Email (Exchange & Office365), Servers (Windows, Linux), and Cloud hosted systems (Azure, AWS). Security Engineer

The Security Engineer will assist with security related infrastructure application set up for carve out, security remediation and modernization projects, and security assessments. The Security Engineer will manage smaller remediation initiatives identified during the assessment. They will collaborate with clients and Answerport technical leads, project managers, and the tech team to develop policies, procedures and training which can be used across all clients. Must have hands on experience with cybersecurity applications and technologies (preferably in small to mid-sized organizations) such as:

  • Content Filtering (Umbrella, Zscaler)
  • Vulnerability assessment tools (Qualys, Tenable, Nessus)
  • Network and Server Audit Tools (Netrix, Varonis)

Infrastructure – Project Manager

The Infrastructure Project Manager will assist the engineering team with planning and managing day-to-day tasks for M&A related projects, managed services client projects, and coordinating with third-party venders on the acquisition of hardware and software. The Infrastructure Project Manager needs to have 5+ years of hands-on experience in an infrastructure engineer role, preferably with a managed services provider. In addition, the Infrastructure Project Manager must have 3+ years of hands-on experience managing all aspects of complex, multilayer IT projects of increasing complexity. The infrastructure PM must have experience managing a project timeline and budget through the life cycle of a project, including tracking hardware/software purchases and resource related efforts. In addition, the Project Manager will use their excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide client project sponsors with timely written and verbal budget and project status reports. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems is preferred. Travel 25%, as required.

Business Applications – Project Manager / Business Analyst (PM/BA)

We are currently looking for experienced individuals with strong ERP implementation, project management, and business analysis skills to join our team as either a Consulting Manager or Senior Consultant, based on experience level. The PM/BA should have 5-12 years of experience in IT and business process improvement, project management, and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering or Information Systems. The individual must have at least three years of prior consulting experience, ERP applications experience (with a deep understanding of at least one common ERP (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft, Epicor, Infor, etc.) solution), applications implementation, project management experience, and industry experience in either manufacturing or distribution companies. Senior Systems Administrator for the Managed Services Team

The Senior System Administrator will join the Managed Services team to assist with day-to-day support for multiple clients’ IT environments, including infrastructure component support (servers and network), ticket support, system patching, troubleshooting, new system deployments (PCs, Servers), etc. They may also be escalation support for other managed services team members. They may also work on “mini projects” for managed services clients (server upgrades, new application setup, etc.) and assist with infrastructure project tasks such as remotely connecting to a client site to build servers, update the Office365 tenant (email, MDM, MFA), update domain controllers, configure integration with AzureAD, and update or set up a backup server and backup jobs. Systems Administrator for the Managed Services Team

The Sysadmin will join the Managed Services team to assist with day-to-day support for clients’ IT environments including tickets, patching, troubleshooting, PC deployments, etc. This person must have strong end user and PC support skills to troubleshoot PC issues both remotely and onsite. In addition, they must have some server admin exposure (backups, patching) and excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with clients and document all work. Service Delivery Director

The Service Delivery Director will oversee and be responsible for all aspects of Answerport’s managed services business. The Director will work with the Answerport leadership team to guide the strategy and vision for the continued growth of the managed services business unit. The Director will oversee a delivery organization made up of team leaders, Systems Administrators, IT Analysts, and Project Managers that provide day-to-day support for multiple clients’ IT environments. The Director will be responsible for the ongoing development of the managed services delivery capabilities and support infrastructure while serving as an escalation point for technical issues and ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout the Managed Services team. The Director ideally will have the following:

  • Prior experience leading an IT managed services / IT support organization that consists of multiple support teams within the organization’s structure.
  • Prior experience establishing new processes and systems to support improved customer service and an improved customer experience.
  • Experience coaching/mentoring and developing managed services team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and deliver clear and concise written and verbal communications to facilitate excellent customer service.
  • Prior experience doing hands-on technical work as well as management of technical teams, including a working knowledge of IT infrastructures and security technologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed for client meetings and on-site project work.

IT Procurement Coordinator

The IT Procurement Coordinator will collaborate with vendors, clients, project managers, and infrastructure team members to ensure timely order and delivery of IT purchases (hardware and software) needed for client operations and completion of infrastructure projects. They will assist with IT asset inventory review and budget maintenance for managed service clients to define annual refresh projects and plan for software renewals and subscription right sizing. Must have experience with coordination management, preferably IT related. Travel 10%, as required. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
